Been many times previously and loved the pizza. I ordered 3 pizzas on 12.23.23 for a grand total of $58 and change. Mine was a build your own, and I ordered extra cheese for $5.00. All 3 pizzas were underdone (soft) and had very little cheese at all. Mine was supposed to have extra cheese- and it had the least of all cheese. My sons had come in from the city - and I raved about this place. Complete disappointment - and especially for the outrageous pricing they are now charging. Won't ever order again. No quality control or care.
Being from Wisconsin we do not have very many coal fire pizza places to try out. Here visiting and googled coal fire pizza and this place showed up. Had good reviews from people so gave it a go. This place did not disappoint in any way. Looked like a perfect coal fire pizza, cooked just right. The dough had good chew, the sauce was sweet and savery and sausage had just the right amount of spice. Only complaint if any was the onions were cut thin and got lost with everything else. I wish I had this pizza in greenbay Wisconsin. If you like coal fire pizza this is the place to go.
The pizza had a good char on the bottom. The sauce was good. I wish it was a little more crispy.
The servers here are great! The food is great! Heads up...try to reserve ahead of time...they seem to "save" tables for reservations, as opposed to filling seats with walk-ins. It can get frustrating, but it's improved significantly in the last couple of months. It's not your typical pizza, but the ingredients always seem fresh, appropriately portioned, and they have great beer selection (Maplewood on tap!).
The food here is fantastic. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, caesar salad, and a pizza. It was more than enough food for two people and we wound up with leftovers. We came on a Friday night with no reservation and were seated immediately inside. They do have outdoor seating, but it was taken/reserved. We will definitely be back!
The food is always good. The outdoor seating is nice. We like the number 13 and Sicilian salad. They have half size salads, which are perfect for 2. The service can be slow, so go when you have time. The food is worth the wait most nights! They get very busy make reservations through google
A casual style sit-in pizzeria which I can best describe as a step up from the two notable fast casual build-your-own-pizza chains.
All of their pizzas are topped with mozzarella, Romano, and basil on top of the sauce. I ordered a pie with pepperoni and sausage. The sauce is a warm, rich flavor. Cheeses are smooth, and the toppings are what you expect.
What I will complain about is that I felt I could not distinguish the Romano from the mozzarella, but I will let this one slide.
This is a hard Pizza product to rate.
But bottom line, our pizza had a refreshingly unique taste. Their red sauce has a good acidic kick, and there's a large selection of toppings.
That said, toppings seemed frugal & of what there were, primarily placed in only the center 60% of the pizza (?).
Yes, we enjoyed their unique taste, but we left still somewhat hungry...
